Tailored one-on-one therapy for children, adolescents, and adults
Individual Therapy is a collaboration between an individual and a therapist. Psychological Wellness Services clinicians work with children, adolescents, adults and seniors to explore aspects of their client’s life and coordinate with each client to outline the best treatment. Psychological Wellness Services offers individual counseling for a variety of concerns – past trauma, overwhelming feelings, anxiety, grief, depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), relationship issues, obsessive compulsive disorder, painful memories, or behaviors – and each form of treatment is designed to help our clients confront barriers specific to their needs.
Counseling couples and helping build lasting relationships
Clinicians at Psychological Wellness Services consider ourselves translators when we work with couples. We work with couples in therapy to help them understand, interpret, and speak their partner’s language. Research shows in order to make a relationship last, couples must become better friends, learn to manage conflict, and create ways to support each other’s hopes for the future. In relationship counseling when working with couples, the clinicians of Psychological Wellness Services use the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy. This method is designed to teach couples specific tools to deepen friendship and intimacy within their relationships.
Couples on the Brink
If you or your partner are considering divorce but are not completely sure that’s the best path, you are in a tough spot and Discernment Counseling is designed for you.
Dr. Freiman will help you decide whether to try to restore your marriage to health, move toward divorce, or take a time out and decide later.
The goal is for you and your partner to gain clarity and confidence about a direction, based on a deeper understanding of your relationship and its possibilities for the future.
Group therapy in a confidential and supportive setting
Group Therapy involves one or more therapists working with several people at the same time. Psychological Wellness Services is currently running a group focused on Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) for men and women who are experiencing overwhelming emotions with the inability to regulate those emotions. DBT is a special type of cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy.
Therapy focused on navigating through life’s challenges
Therapy focused on navigating through life’s challenges. Every one of us deals with significant transitions throughout our life. Sometimes, it involves transitioning your way of thinking. We spend so much time focusing on other people that we have to transition ourselves to take time for us individually.
What is the story of your career? The narrative we use to frame our career decisions has a big impact on how we feel about our work. Our careers and our sense of self are usually tightly linked, yet we don’t always recognize this relationship. This connection can have a big impact on how we relate to others at work, how we face a new challenge or how we approach looking for our next job.
Allows patients to meet with a therapist via video platform at their convenience
In today’s busy world, it can be difficult to take the time to travel to and from appointments. Maybe you have a busy schedule that cannot afford travel time. Teletherapy has become a solution for those that wish to have the regularity of sessions without the inconvenience of travel time. Teletherapy is offered via Google meets, which is HIPPA compliant and secure platform.
